 **Violas**: A rather pretty plant-monster, resembling a goat-sized tulip with large, jagged leaves.  Normally docile, a Violas will launch sprays of poisonous needles at any person or creature using magic, then slowly (~1" per minute) slither with its roots through the topsoil to feed upon its victim.  The bulbs, if still living, sell well in civilized markets to "security experts".
