====Order of the Shoushou Knights====

The Order is a semi-religious martial organization dedicated to capturing [[d|demons]], binding them into the form of adventuring equipment, and then using their power for the greater good.  Unexpectedly, this actually works, and more surprising, they have successfully __redeemed__ a number of demons over the centuries.  Knights of the Order can be found almost anywhere, and they have chapter-houses in all the empires, and in most of the larger independent nations.

===History===
The Order was founded early in the Slumbering era by the God of Judgement himself, as a (very) long term plan to ultimately reduce the number of demons operating against the Children of the Jewel.  The Shoushou Knights can be credited with keeping the chaos of the Degenerate Era from getting **too** out of hand, and today are today are recognized as peculiar, if dedicated, forces for the Greater Good.

===Performance===
The average Knight in the field operates as a semi-independent adventurer, usually registered with the Mercenary's Guild, and are willing to work medium-term with others, with the exception of other Shoushou Knights.  Having two or more Knights in close proximity for more than an evening at the pub results in a LOT of bickering, including their weapons!  most Knights function in combat as high-end melee fighters, with early access to exotic skills such as //Wind Slash//, and whatever Epic Weapon abilities they can coax out of their "partners".  There are bow, mage-staff, and jewelry Shoushou out there, but they are in the minority.

===Shoushou Weapons===
Shoushou weapons are nigh-indestructible pieces of equipment, apparently cast from some glossy black metal with red highlights, and a single red-irised, black-pupiled eye as decoration.  The eye moves, because it is the POV of the demon inside.  The demons appear to understand most languages, but make inconvenient translators.  For some reason, perhaps as a collective prank on the Order, most Shoushou weapons only speak in the extinct Divine Era //Anscois// tongue.
