===Overview===
A region of the [[Asterian Empire]] where things have stopped, or are only marginally, still imperial.  The city of [[Shining Falls]] on the River Aster and [[Thrall's Gate Hall]] at the southern end of the [[Eastwall Mountains]] define the west edge of the region, the [[Fallow Marches]] the north, and the city of [[Gannondore]] the East.  The Aster river itself places a hard southern border on the region.

===Population===
As with much of the empire, the populace is about two-thirds human, though not distributed evenly.  As you travel further east, one encounters more family lines with clear signs of Kring nomad blood.
