Ungoliant: General term of Elven origin referring to any spider larger than a Halveling or a good sized dog. Once they get to the size of a Satyr, they invariably start hunting people, and ones the size of small houses start to talk to their victims. The tale of High King Regis I and the Ungol-Mother is quite epic, but may cause nightmares in small children.
