Name: Vaedra t'Leetah

Age: Over 250, probably.
Residence: Mourning Star Inn, Fort Sinister
Little is known about Lady Vaedra before she came to Fort Sinister. What is known is that when she arrived, in IE 1058, she made a very compelling case to the Governor of that generation for her ownership of the building that would become the Mourning Star Inn, and paid a hefty sum to the current residents to prevent any ill-will. within a year, the Glamourous-style bawdy house was in business, and the town's economy expanded noticeably.
Since then, Vaedra has been a fixture in Fort Sinister, and moderating force on the town council. Every year, from shortly after the Winter Solstice, until a little before Spring Equinox, she will vanish, only to return with new wares, interesting foreign gossip, and every decade or so, one of the bastard granddaughters of Duke Leetah. The eight currently in residence are by no means the only girls she's rescued, and she shows no signs of stopping.
Personality: Vaedra t'Leetah is an elegant, sensuous, and refined lady, honed by centuries of experience. To the townspeople, and her clients, she is a smiling, kindly, patient woman, living life well and at her own pace. Outside of those circles…
Vaedra is an adamant supporter of the House of Leetah, and a sworn enemy of Perrain l'Leetah. Rescuing and rehabilitating her “girls” is, if one pays attention, only one facet of her long range plans to end the old hag's influence on the world. She does not mention any encounters with the sons of Velyn and Torasin, and the girls quickly change the subject at the mention of their half-brothers.
Vaedra's power is undeniable. Easily an Adept of the House Glamourous arts, reality simply bends to her will around her, and within the walls of her inn especially. It is pretty clear that she is also competent with the spatial magics of House Gnosis, possibly the mental arts of House Drowe, and the blade techniques of the heroes of the Mandarinate. Her social power is also palpable, encompassing contacts across the known world at all levels of society. She will frequently speak as if she has recently spoken with individuals a thousand leagues away, on trivial matters.
It is generally assumed that she takes lovers on a routine basis, though no one every catches her at it, and none of them ever talk about it.
