Zelda was born from the union of a Dark Elf adventurer and a Hazad human herbalist; she has many pleasant memories of her mother, and refused to discus her sire. She had a reasonably uneventful career as an assistant shopkeeper in one of the southern Caliphate cities, where she gained the respect and friendship of the Blackstone Company. Goska Whitefoot made the trip himself to invite her to join the founding expedition, an opportunity she literally jumped at.
Zelda's training is in medicinal alchemy and herbalism: the only talent she inherited from her father's lineage is a well refined empathic sense. her shop stocks the usual array of low-level adventuring elixirs, but her focus is in medicines that keep the community healthy. Late fall through early spring, she sells a lot of her apple-ginger-alfwort oatmeal cookies: one a day boosts your disease resistance drastically. (The apple helps cover the bitterness of the alfwort)
