Gulden
A good sized town in North-Eastern Asteria at the point where the Rivan River feeds into the Aster River. Guilden is economically more stable the Overgard, though this is tested by an uptick in the river-pirate population. Count Gulden-Sornalns is technically subordinate to Earl Alaric Sorland-Gribbel, but has a lot of contacts, and political friends, outside of Eastern Sors.
Economy
Gulden is a trade town: specifically, most of the grain produced in Eastern Sors enters its granaries. While a lot of that grain leaves again on the endless stream of watercraft plying the Aster, the town boasts fifteen prosperous and quite distinct breweries, and a half-dozen distilleries. On top of that, luxury traffic going towards Overgard must pass through the town as well.
Population
Gulden is home to roughly twenty thousand people, three quarters of them human, with a fairly eclectic mix of non-humans. Wargs are rare, and Nagas almost unheard of (unless the Fang Empire's ambassador has gotten a hankering for whiskey again), but the odds are good you will find every other sentient race somewhere in Gulden.
