Onerous Tower
Centuries ago, a powerful mage, an Oneiromancer, moved to the Lake of Dreams, and commissioned a tower to further his researches. He picked a scenic spot, hired dwarves to build to core structure, and artisans from his homeland to complete the smaller details. He lived there until his death decades later.
Today, the tower is a crumbling ruin, only the bottom three stories remaining. The lakeside patio is still present, but chunks of it fall into the lake, dozens of feet below, on a regular basis. No other artifacts of the previous occupant remain, and the nearest decent spot to tie up a boat and approach from the lake shore is a twenty minute walk away.
Visiting the tower is a day trip from Garv's Wharf, and most adolescents of that village visit at least once in their lives.
