Lake of Dreams

garv_s_wharf.jpg lake_of_dreams_ssw.jpg

Overview

The Lake of Dreams is the largest body of water in the Fallow Marches, rivaling Earth's Sea of Azov, the Gulf of Thailand, and Lake Superior in volume. History says that somewhere in the middle of the lake is an island about the size of Maui, home of the Final Holy Site of the God of Dreams. This island has not been verified by any mortal in living history, as the lake is permanently fogbound once one gets more than a league from shore.

The fog expands and contracts on an unknown schedule, and the fishermen that ply the lake's shores pay very close attention to its approach. Nearly everyone who is engulfed in the fog never returns. And those who do, rarely return with their minds unscathed.
