Kingsfall

Overview

One of the more recently “liberated” states in the Lost Territories. Count Rhebus is currently debating the merits and hazards of nipping off some of the abandoned territory in Old Goldenrod, and also declaring himself a King. Kingsfall derives it's name from an event in the third century, when seven kingdoms united against the Asterian invaders, pooled their armies, including several drakes, and made a stand. Unfortunately for them, General Tythe, the third generation bearer of the Sword of Gondor the Magnificent, led the Imperial side. All seven kings perished in the battle, and their realms absorbed into the Empire.

Locations

  • Durne Barony: located on the north side of the Verd river between King’s Landing and Standing. The current baron is a prideful man, who neither trusts his neighbors nor the gods. Currently upgrading the fortifications of his manor.
  • Imperial Reach: a border village on the Trade Road. Just upstream of the geologic fault that the Imperial mages caused when they physically enforced the “Castella River is not navigable outside the Empire” policy. Because they worked over such a large area, it is impossible to tell if they dropped the Imperial side six feet, or raised the Kingsfall side. Due to the ongoing chaos in Old Goldenrod, The count keeps an active military presence here.
  • King's Landing: Kingsfall's primary trade town, where the Astali River meets the Castella River. Much of the trade from the County and Verdante passes through here to Witchfel and the Empire at large.
  • Standing, The: Capital of Kingsfell, and historical site of the final battle of Asterian imperial conquest. Not quite as developed as a town as King's Landing.
  • Tallfellow: a border village on the Trade Road. Mostly farmers, but walled, and hosting a good sized guard presence. Population is roughly on quarter halvelings, whose ancestors didn't quite “fit in” in Paratalle.
