A large village in the Blackstone Freeholding region of the Fallow Marches. The village's establishment on the east branch of the Old Trade Road has doomed the slightly shorter west branch to disuse: Woodsdrop is only two days from its neighbors to the north and south, while there are no settlements along the other path.

Woodsdrop also represents the furthest point north on the Gonglin River that foresters can hope to drop logs into the water and expect them to float all the way down to markets south. For similar reasons, it is as far north as migratory fish can manage in breeding season.

The village has a permanent population of twenty families, most of whom make a living off the trade passing through the area.

• Camwood: the general name for the forest around the Freeholding.
• Drop: The abrupt 15' cascade that gives the town it's name. Not quite vigorous enough to set up a water driven mill, though folks talk about it every winter.
• Elfsinger Glen: These Glamourous Elf ruins are too far gone to tell what they once were. The acoustics are still pretty good.
• Ent, the: A massive, ancient tree west of the village that very likely was here when the region was occupied by the House Glamorous. Goska Whitefoot Comes out to talk to it every season or so. The woodcutters are just superstitious enough of the Ent to stay on the east side of the river.
• General Goods shop: tools, household goods, non-perishable foodstuffs. Woodsdrop isn't really big enough for many specialized merchants, and those few run the produce and fish stalls.
• Mercenary's Guild Office: The Guild has one member stationed here to manage disputes between traders and their guards. Old Klaus Coinsplitter looks on this as a partial retirement, with his young wife and newborn daughter.
• Merchant's Guild Factor: Based in the rather sturdy office/warehouse attached to the Woodsgate, this is where loggers arrange purchase of their wares, and where goods from civilized lands pass through on their way to Newhaven
• Tallowmire Marsh: fertile wetlands on the south side of the Iarven-sírë river. Exotic wildlife includes Pyreflies, really big frogs, the occasional salamander, and giant water-striders.
• Watchtower: The only piece of all-stone architecture in the village, and headquarters of the village guard. The tower is four stories tall, and atop the 15' cliff separating the north and south parts of the village. Paul Bloodson, Svall's son-in-law, leads the twelve guard detachment.
• Wood Drop Inn: A good sized traveler's inn with a passable taproom. Considerable stable and paddock space has been set aside for passing caravans.
• Woodcutter's Road: primarily used by loggers, this one lane track does lead to Echad-Lum, the independent village of Woodhurst (~15 miles), and eventually the Lake of Dreams (~100 miles).
• Woodsgate: Structurally the weak point in the town's defenses, this simple gate in the palisade allows logs to be dropped directly in the river. Of course, getting to it in the strong, waist-deep current below the falls is more work than most wildlife is willing to apply.
